Usage Recommendations

Bantamweight Floor centres can be used to span from 1.235 to 4.570 meters depending on the size of floor centre used. In the case of the No. 2 and No. 3 Floor centres the final 1/3 of their extension range requires them to be centre-supported to carry normal slab loadings. This centre support is usually provided by a timber bearer supported by props or frames and should always be placed under the outer member of the Floor centre.
